Postdoc topics and skills requirements
The postdoc will work on fundamental aspects of membrane science and applied strategic topics of sustainable separations (liquid or gas systems).The candidate should have a PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science with experience in polymer science or membrane development.A certificate of completion of the PhD (translated to English) is essential. Availability for immediate starting after completing the visa formalities is a requirement.This search is for positions with expertise in at least one of the following fields:
1. Polymer synthesis
2. Hollow fiber membrane fabrication
3. Membrane preparation and characterization for gas separation
4. Membranes for ions separations
5. Electron microscopy and synchrotron characterization of porous polymeric systems
Opportunities
Besides the salary (contract of 2 years with possible extension), KAUST will cover flight, health insurance, accommodation on campus, where around 7000 persons live, including 1000 students 185 faculty members, researchers, and their families. An international school (IB system) is available on campus for children up to K12.
